KIN52 Holding

Founded in 1952, KIN52 Holding is built on a legacy of Family, Trust, Excellence, and Visionary Leadership. Formerly known as Kurban Group Holding, KIN52 blends a forward-looking vision rooted in service and technology with the enduring values of its founding family.

The name KIN52 holds deep meaning: “KIN”, as in “Next of kin” reflects our family-driven ethos, while the number 52 honors the year our journey began. It also subtly echoes our identity as Kurban Investment — a future-focused holding rooted in trust, transformation, and timeless values. Together, they reflect a multi-generational commitment to continuity, integrity, and purpose. What started as a family business founded by Halim Kurban has grown into a diversified group with an international footprint across Mobility, Travel, Tourism, and Airline Services. Through every chapter, the founding spirit remains: investing in businesses that move people, ideas, and industries forward.

Today, KIN52 stands as a strategic driver of progress – anchored in seven decades of heritage, focused on transformation, and led by a new generation committed to shaping what’s next.

Since 1952

KIN52 journey – formerly Kurban Group Holding – started in 1952 when its founder,
Halim Kurban, opened the doors of his first travel agency in Downtown, Beirut. With a clear belief in Lebanon’s potential as a world-class destination, he contributed to positioning the country as a regional hub for tourism and culture, to be later celebrated as the Paris of the Middle East.

Over the past seven decades, what began as a single travel agency has evolved into a diversified investment holding with a strategic footprint across the Middle East and Africa. Throughout its journey, the group has remained synonymous with tailor-made travel experiences, high-quality services, and operational excellence in mobility services and tourism. Anchored in its heritage and led by a new generation, KIN52 continues to build on its founder’s legacy—investing in businesses that move people, ideas, and industries forward. Today the Group includes the following brands/companies: Kurban Travel, e’Travel, AVIS, Budget, UGO, Makina Works, Makina Moto and Carrotec.
